Through Research, Our Team found out that “Gotcha power” and “dining Culture” are a hot trend in 2022 Korea. “Gotcha power” refers to the desire to possess something rare, to distinguish it from others, and to show it off. Plus, there are new words called ‘Openrun / Waiting / sushi-enrolment’. This means people tend to wait for a gourmet restaurant in the early morning to try something special & show off on Social Media.

 

Problems

 

Frequent Fake item trades

Fake items are traded due to Anonymity.

Lack of inclusive food platform

There’s no platform that includes cooking classes, booking restaurants at the same time.

 

Congestion of restaurant

Congestion due to waiting /open run.

Inconvenient ticket transaction

Restaurant reservation ticket transaction is not active. Therefore we need to pay a fee for cancellation.

How can we solve these problems using NFT?
Before that, what is NFT & how do NFTs work?

What is NFT?

It stands for Non-fungible token. it’s unique and can’t be replaced with something else. It can be anything digital such as drawings, music, tickets, goods..etc.

how do NFTs work?

Most NFTs are part of a blockchain. They are designed to give you something that can’t be copied: ownership of the work!

If we build a dining platform using NFTs immutable proof of ownership, we can ensure valid & transparent ticket transactions!

Expected Solutions

Create an NFT meal ticket that discloses the company, trader, transaction history, date, and time and is used on the specified date

Resolve restaurant congestion caused by overheated open runs & waiting, and provide a wide range of dining options through the app.

Held an NFT cooking class with famous restaurants, chefs, and celebrities for users to increase interest in dining culture.

Reduce the burden of cancellation fees and solve the no-show problem by providing simplified & transparent ticket trade.

Competitive market analysis

Before creating the design, I needed to understand how NFTs work & what they provide in applications. I chose 5 local and international NFT apps ( indirect competitors ) and 2 local apps ( direct competitors ). I analyzed Target / About / Strengths / Weakness / Value.

It’s apparent that NFT is active in art transactions, and other fields were not yet developed significantly.

You can log-in through the blockchain platform kakao groundX. It is automatically linked to the blockchain currency wallet.

Main Page - NFT Market

NFT Market List & Detail page

We can see an NFT list of gourmet / hot restaurant / cooking class with the chef. NFT has a specific date of use. I designed a black button which indicated due date down below the images. You can create / buy / resell these NFTs. When you click one, there is a piece of information about the issuer, detailed contract info such as date, Token ID, Address, Location.

Feature #01 -Minting NFT

How to mint NFT

When you want to mint NFT to market, you need to input the name of the restaurant, Ticket image location that copyrighted, Choosing category, Title, Date to be used, and Introduction of NFT.

Feature #02 -Re-Selling NFT

1. Click My Page to see my NFT ticket that I bought.

2. Click Sell Button below the page.

3. Enter the sales amount. It can be higher or lower. It depends on owner.

4. Make a payment of Sell - fee using QR code.

5. Now, Upload success.

6. You can monitor the status on the market page.
